EXFD Lieutenant Promotion - April 25, 2024

Three Generations and Three Cheers for Alex Stern!  On April 25, 2024 Alex received his Lieutenant 12 badge and helmet in a Pinning Ceremony at the Excelsior Fire District.

Alex has been with the Excelsior Fire District for 17 years. In 17 years he has held the position of firefighter, Training Coordinator, Captain, Battalion Chief, and now Lieutenant 12.  

Alex is the 3rd generation of the Stern Family to serve on the Excelsior Fire District. His Grandfather Wayne Stern joined in 1960, his Father Kim Stern, in 1975, and his Uncle Kevin Stern in 1980. Alex and his father are currently serving together, Kim is Battalion Chief 4 and now, Alex is a Lieutenant 12.
