An expired or expelled fire extinguisher can be brought to one of the Hennepin County waste disposal sights for recycling. https://www.hennepin.us/residents/recycling-hazardous-waste/drop-off-facilities. Expired fire extinguishers can also be dropped of at Excelsior Fire District's annual fire prevention open house and safety fair, which lands on the first Thursday of October.
