In compliance with CDC recommendations and to help slow the spread of COVID-19, the Excelsior Fire District is closing to the public beginning the evening of March 17th, 2020.
This closure includes our Station 1 in Shorewood (24100 Smithtown Rd) and Station 2 in Deephaven (20227 Cottagewood Rd).
No Community training (CPR/AED, Fire Safety Classes) or events will be conducted or scheduled at this time.
Any fire related questions can be directed to email@example.com and will be forwarded to the correct staff. You may also call 952-401-8801. We will remain staffed and responding to emergencies.

The Excelsior Fire District serves the Cities of Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood and Tonka Bay.
We have over a 125-year history. We currently have 40 progressive, well-trained members serving the district. Our call volume is approximately 850 responses annually. The Excelsior Fire District has two fire stations which are located in Deephaven and Shorewood.

Our Inspection/Prevention Program Minimizes Fire and Safety Concerns.
The Excelsior Fire District inspection/prevention program is a foundational component of our fire district. The inspection program utilizes fire inspections, safety reviews, plan reviews, and code enforcement to minimize fire and safety concerns in our business and industry areas within our community. The inspection program also conducts fire investigations after a fire loss in our community.
